20% Incentive Boost for Select Long-Life Measures
The biggest change to the 2026 Peoples Gas Energy Efficiency Program is a renewed focus on measures with long lives. These measures deliver longterm energy savings and lasting operational value, such as:

Insulation of all types
-
Space-heating boilers (steam and hot water), and some DHW heaters
-
High-efficiency unit heaters, furnaces and make-up air heating systems
-
Boiler controls, including resets, linkageless controls and 02 trim
-
Stack economizers and other energy recovery units
-
Slowdown heat recovery
51 of the 114 measures on the Prescription Application will see the 20% boost. There will also be limits on measures with short lives, such as tune-ups and steam trap repair/replacements.
