Winnetka Achieves Big Gains in Energy Efficiency
Through its partnership with the North Shore Gas Energy Efficiency Program, Winnetka reduced natural gas use by more than 642,000 therms, lowering costs and avoiding nearly 3,400 metric tons of carbon emissions. Using program incentives, the village completed cost-effective upgrades that support long term sustainability. Winnetka’s success highlights the power of energy efficiency programs to drive lasting savings and responsible stewardship for local communities.
